We started as the Northern Sleep Centre; offering mattresses, air beds, sofa beds, water bed and bedroom furniture. Starting small allowed us to create a strong foundation to continue thriving for another 36 years.

After being open to the public for 10 years, we decided to relocate in 1993. Our first expansion brought us to 902 Newgate Avenue where we rebranded as the Furniture Mart. We grew our collection, adding livingroom, dining room and office furniture.

Another decade passes by and we had the amazing opportunity to expand and rebrand once more! We moved to 920 Newgate Avenue, our selection grew again, offering a bigger display to showcase more of our products and a larger warehouse.

Now known as the Sleep Shop at Furniture Mart, we offer our customers knowledge, experience and so they feel confident and comfortable in their decision. Our purchasing power has allowed us to give you terrific savings on almost all our products.
